The first match of the three T20 match series being played between the Indian women's cricket team and England was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the very first match of the series, Team India had to face defeat by 38 runs. Thanks to Daniel Watt's 75 and Nat Sciver Brunt's 77 runs, England made a huge score of 197 at the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, Team India could score only 159 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Shefali Verma played a half-century inning of 52 for India.

Team India, which came to chase England's target of 198 runs, did not have a good start. He lost the first wicket at just 20. When Smriti Mandhana was out after scoring 6 runs.
