Indo-US military drill near LAC: from November 8 to December 11

India and the US will conduct military drills near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China amid India-China tensions. By the end of the year, India is going to conduct 3 major exercises simultaneously.
All these military exercises will start on November 8. India will show its military strength in these military exercises, which will run till December 11.
India and the US will exercise along the LAC from November 15 to December 2. The exercise will be held in Auli, Uttarakhand. This area is just 100 km away from LAC. An official said- About 350-350 soldiers from both countries will participate in the exercise. Integrated battle groups will be tested in mountains and extremely cold areas. One year of this exercise is done in India and one year in America. Last year this exercise was done in Alaska, USA.
The China border adjacent to Uttarakhand is part of the Central Sector of the Indian Army. This area has been disputed between India and China for a long time. Chinese military activities in the region have increased since the violent clashes in the Glawan Valley two years ago. This is the reason why the military exercise between India and America is very important.
India will do the Malabar Naval Exercise with QUAD countries in the Indo-Pacific region (Indo-Pacific). This exercise will be held in Yokosuka, Japan from November 8 to 18. For this, warships, submarines, fighter aircraft and helicopters from India, America, Japan and Australia will be gathered. In the Malabar exercise, India will drill with multi-role stealth frigate INS Shivalik, anti-submarine corvette INS Kamorta and a P-8I Long-Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
India is gradually strengthening defence ties with Australia. The armies of both countries will perform the first 'Austra-Hind' infantry combat exercise from 28 November to 11 December. An army official said – this will increase the ability to operate with both countries in the semi-desert terrain.
