Retail inflation for agricultural workers fell to 3.73% in March; Know what the figures say

Agricultural labourers' retail inflation decreased to 3.73 percent in March 2025 from 4.05 percent in February. This was revealed in the latest figures made public on Wednesday. Rural labourers' retail inflation decreased to 3.86 percent in March 2025 from 4.10 percent in February, according to official statistics.

A release from the Ministry of Labour stated that the All India Consumer Price Index of Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) fell by 3 points and 2 points to 1,306 and 1,319 points in March 2025. In comparison to the previous month of February 2025, CPI-AL and CPI-RL had been at 1,309 points and 1,321 points, respectively.

According to the data, "The annual inflation rate based on CPI-AL and CPI-RL for March 2025 was recorded at 3.73 per cent and 3.86 per cent, respectively. In March 2024, it was 7.15 per cent and 7.08 per cent. The corresponding figures for February 2025 were 4.05 per cent for CPI-AL and 4.10 per cent for CPI-RL."
