IND vs PAK: Big news for cricket fans, India-Pakistan will clash in this big tournament

The Asian Olympic Council (OCA) has officially confirmed on Wednesday that cricket has been included in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan. This is the second consecutive inclusion of cricket in these games in history. The games will be organized between 19 September to 04 October. The Asian Olympic Council and Organizing Committee made the decision to include cricket in these games in a meeting. The OCA statement said that in a meeting of the Asian Games' Organizing Committee on Monday, 28 April, besides cricket, mixed martial arts were officially permitted to be included in these games.

Matches will be held in T20 format:

• Women's and men's teams will participate in the Asian Games, and the matches will be played in T20 format.
• Cricket matches will be held in Aichi. However, the venue will be informed later.
• Like last time, this time too, the Asian Games will see India-Pakistan clash.

The Asian Games started in 1951, and since then, cricket has been included in these games only three times in 2010, 201,4, and 2022. During this, women's and men's teams participated.

Last time these games were held in Hangzhou, China. India won the gold medal by dominating in the women's and men's category. In the men's category final, India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets and in the women's category final, India defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets.
