In view of this problem, the country's largest bank SBI has told what to do if the money is transferred to the wrong account.
In response to a question asked by a customer on behalf of SBI, said that if money is transferred from a person to the wrong bank account by mistake. So, first of all, you have to contact your home branch. After this, the rest of the process will be done by the bank.
If the matter is not resolved at the branch level, the customer has to register a matter by visiting crcf.sbi.co.in. After logging in to this website, the customer has to select the option of Personal Segment/Individual Customer after selecting Raise Complaint. After this, you can register your complaint by entering the account number and OTP.
In response to another customer, SBI said that it is entirely your responsibility to verify the details of the account to which you are sending the money, and if any wrong transaction happens due to the mistake of the customer or the money is transferred to someone If it goes to the wrong account, then the responsibility will also be of the customer. The home branch can help you to get your money with another bank branch, but will not take any responsibility.
