Financially struggling to Go First airline has again extended its flight suspension till July 6, 2023, citing operational reasons. This is the 12th time the airline has extended the cancellation period. The cash-strapped, bankruptcy-protected airline had earlier announced the suspension of operations till June 30.

In addition, senior representatives of the existing management of GoFirst discussed various aspects of the revival plan with the officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The company has filed an application for immediate resolution and revival of operations. "We will be able to resume bookings soon," the airline said.
According to the news agency PTI, the DGCA will examine the documents submitted by GoFirst related to the revival plan and also conduct an audit on operational preparedness before allowing the carrier to resume operations.
The revival process gained momentum after the airline's committee of creditors (CoC) comprising Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, IDBI Bank, and Deutsche Bank was formed on June 10. Sources had said that lenders have committed interim funding of around Rs 450 crore, while day-one operations are expected to cost around Rs 10 crore.
