The second match of the three-match T20 series being played between South Africa and Pakistan will be played on 13 December at Supersports Park in Centurion. Before this, the Proteas team suffered a major setback. Fast bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the T20 series due to an injury to his left toe.

Nortje was ruled out of the first game due to an injury, and a fracture has been traced post-scan. He will consult an orthopedic specialist regarding the injury. Uncapped seamer Dayyaan Galiem has been added to South Africa's squad for the two remaining matches which are scheduled to be played on Friday and Saturday as injured Anrich Nortje ruled out.

Pretoria Capitals have signed Nortje for the SA-20 that starts on January 10. Whether he joins the competition or not depends on the recovery from the injury and upon receiving advice from an orthopedic specialist. This is the second injury in 15 months for Nortje. Dayan Galim finds a spot in the squad as a replacement for Nortje for the remaining two matches of the T20 series. The news has come out through social media, as revealed by the South African Cricket Board.
