Fake Currency Racket: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has busted the fake currency racket running in different parts of the country. NIA teams conducted raids in Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh and other places in Maharashtra, Bihar, and Karnataka. During this period, fake notes, currency printing paper printers, and digital gadgets were seized. NIA officials said that this action has been taken under a case registered on November 24.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has busted the fake currency racket running in different parts of the country. During this action, fake notes, currency printing paper, printers, and digital gadgets were seized in raids conducted in four states of the country including Uttar Pradesh.

NIA officials said that the raid was conducted as part of the investigation of a case registered on November 24 under sections 120B, 489B, 489C, and 489D of the Indian Penal Code. The case relates to a larger conspiracy hatched by suspected persons to promote cross-border smuggling of Indian currency and its circulation in various states of India.

NIA teams conducted raids in Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh and other places in Maharashtra, Bihar, and Karnataka. NIA teams searched the premises of accused Rahul Tanaji Patil alias Javed in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, Vivek Thakur alias Aditya Singh in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh and Mahendra in Ballari district of Karnataka.

The official said the premises of suspects Shiva Patil alias Bhimrao in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra and Shashi Bhushan in the Rohtas district of Bihar were also raided.
