Covid-19 in Kerala: Corona period in Kerala, 128 new Covid cases reported in 24 hours; death of 1

Corona cases are once again increasing across the country. According to data from the Union Health Ministry website on Sunday, 128 new Covid cases have been reported in Kerala in the last 24 hours. At the same time, one person has also died due to this.

According to the website, of the 334 active coronavirus infections reported across the country till 8 am today, 128 cases were from Kerala, taking the number of active cases in the state to 3,000. With one death reported in the state, the total number of deaths due to coronavirus in Kerala has reached 72,063.

The number of people who recovered in the last 24 hours after the infection was detected was 296. With this, the total number of cases under this category so far has reached 68,38,282. On Tuesday, Health Minister Veena George assured the people of the state that despite the rise in COVID cases in Kerala, there is nothing to worry about.

A total of 656 cases of COVID-19 subvariant JN.1 and one death have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total number of active cases of Covid-19 in the country was recorded at 3742.

Earlier on Saturday, India recorded a multi-fold increase in fresh Covid cases. Union Health Ministry data showed that a total of 423 cases were reported, of which 266 were from Kerala and 70 from neighbouring Karnataka. There is news of two deaths in Kerala.
