Congress Legislature Party meeting to be held in 'No' side of the House, warning of gherao of Assembly today
Rajasthan Assembly: Congress's protest has been going on since Friday in protest against the suspension of 6 MLAs in the Assembly. At the same time, a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party has been called at 9:30 am to decide the further strategy in the matter. This meeting will be held in the 'No' side lobby of the Assembly. Today Congress has also warned of gherao of the Assembly.

There is a possibility of a fierce fight in the Assembly today over the Indira Gandhi statement. During the Question Hour in the House on Friday, Minister Avinash Gehlot made a statement on Indira Gandhi. Congress MLAs objected to the statement. After that, Speaker Vasudev Devani suspended 6 MLAs for disrespecting the chair, against which the Congress MLAs have been protesting in the House since Friday.
A Congress Legislature Party meeting has been called in the 'No' side lobby of the Assembly today. In this meeting, the further strategy within the House will be decided. Outside the House, Congress has also geared up to gherao the Vidhan Sabha today. Instructions have been issued for this to bring crowds from the districts. For this, a control room has been set up in the State Congress Committee, where coordination is being done by calling the districts.
Here, the attitude of the government also seems to be softening. UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has said that the BJP has also warned Minister Avinash Gehlot not to do this in the future regarding his comment on Indira Gandhi. However, he also said that this comment is not unparliamentary in any way.
The proceedings of the House are to start again today. As per the rules, the 6 Congress MLAs who have been suspended have to go out of the House now, but the Congress MLAs have camped in the House itself. On Friday also, the Speaker had called the marshals to remove the suspended Congress MLAs from the House. After this, there was a fierce clash between the marshals and the Congress MLAs. In such a situation, as soon as the proceedings of the House begin today, a round of tussle can start again to remove the suspended Congress MLAs from the House.
The entire controversy has arisen only on the issue of an apology. The ruling party and the Speaker have demanded that the Congress MLAs apologize for the act they committed. At the same time, the Congress MLAs are adamant that they are not at fault, the apology will have to be made by the government minister Avinash Gehlot.
Along with Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara, MLAs Zakir Hussain Gesawat, Sanjay Jatav, Ramkesh Meena, Amin Kagzi and Hakeem Ali Khan have been suspended for the remaining budget session.
The uproar started in the House after the comment made about former PM Indira Gandhi during the Question Hour in the morning. After this, the proceedings of the House were adjourned 3 times. At 4 pm, the Speaker suspended them on the charge of indecent behavior before the Chair after the proposal of the ruling party.
