Riyan Parag Fined for Vaping, Board of Control for Cricket in India Takes Strict Action

He clearly stated that recent incidents are not benefiting the team. Sangakkara also stated that Rajasthan Royals have taken serious cognizance of the vaping issue.



Rajasthan Royals, who won the championship in 2008, are embroiled in controversy as well. The team's manager, Romi Bhinder, got caught by the media a few days back using his mobile phone inside the dugout. On the other hand, their captain, Riyan Parag, has recently been caught using vape in the changing room. As a punishment for this act, BCCI has fined him 25% of his match fee along with demerit points.
Rajasthan Royals' head coach, Kumar Sangakkara, is quite annoyed with his team as they continue facing trouble. "None of this helps our cause," he said. Additionally, he mentioned that Rajasthan Royals took the vaping case seriously. The question now arises as to whether the franchise will take any further action against Riyan Parag.
In a press conference before the match against the Delhi Capitals, Kumar Sangakkara said, "Such controversies are not at all positive for the team. All I can say is that both the BCCI and the franchise have discussed these issues in detail. This is a reminder to all players that they must maintain a positive and professional team environment."
