'Investors should not panic, PM Modi will return to power with a good majority', Finance Minister said - Government is committed to reforms in future

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to power in 2024 with a good majority and global investors need not panic at all. He said the government is committed to reforms in the future to accelerate the pace of development.

Participating virtually at an event organized by the India Global Forum, Sitharaman said, "Investors need not panic at all about the outcome of the elections to be held in April-May, 2024. It is natural for investors to be worried and We also understand this. However, I and others who are looking at the Indian economy, looking at the current political environment, looking at the ground-level realities, understand that Prime Minister Modi is coming back. And are coming back with a good majority."

He said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many steps to bring change in the life of every Indian. The business environment has also improved. He said that it is not at all the case that the government has worked for one section and not for the other.
