Air India is going to operate its scheduled flight from the national capital to Dhaka from Tuesday. Apart from this, Vistara's scheduled services to the capital of Bangladesh will be restored from August 7. The neighboring country has been plunged into uncertainty after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee after protests broke out on the streets of Bangladesh over the reservation. The situation there remains volatile.

Earlier on Tuesday, Air India had canceled its morning flight to Dhaka. Now the airline will operate its evening flights AI237/238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi sector on Tuesday.

In a statement, the airline also said that due to the current situation there, passengers with confirmed bookings on any flights to and from Dhaka between August 4 and 7 are being given a one-time discount on rebooking tickets. The offer will be applicable on tickets booked on or before August 5. As per the normal schedule, the Tata Group-owned airline operates two flights a day from the national capital to Dhaka.

According to an official, Vistara will operate services as per schedule from Wednesday. Vistara operates daily flights from Mumbai and three weekly services from Delhi to Dhaka. Both Vistara and IndiGo had canceled their Tuesday flights to the Bangladesh capital. An update from IndiGo on Dhaka flights for Wednesday is awaited. Usually IndiGo operates one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to Dhaka and two daily services from Kolkata to the Bangladesh capital.
