Twenty-six domestic and foreign companies have signed agreements to invest ₹1.02 lakh crore in the domestic food processing sector. These agreements were signed during the World Food India Summit, which was organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries from September 25 to 28. On Sunday, the Ministry said, "The World Food India 2025 Summit concluded with unprecedented investment commitments. Companies signed MoUs worth a total of ₹1,02,046.89 crore. This is one of the largest investment announcements in India's food processing sector." Reliance Consumer Products has signed a ₹40,000 crore agreement to establish integrated food manufacturing facilities nationwide. Three Coca-Cola bottlers will invest ₹25,760 crore.

The ministry said in a statement that investment agreements worth ₹1.02 lakh crore are expected to generate employment for over 1 million people in the country, with over 64,000 of these being direct employment.
