Big agreement signed between TATA and Airbus: Now helicopters will be made in India only

Tata Group and French aircraft manufacturer Airbus have signed an agreement to manufacture civil helicopters. India's Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra gave this information on Friday.

Under this agreement, Tata Group and Airbus helicopters will be manufactured in Vadodara, Gujarat. According to the information, there is a demand for 600 to 800 such helicopters in the market. The H125 helicopter is known to provide superior performance at altitude and in hot environments. Foreign Secretary Kwatra told about the agreement signed between PM Narendra Modi and French President Macron. He said that India and France have prepared a roadmap. This roadmap will help in co-development and co-production of key military hardware and platforms. There will also be technological cooperation in many areas including space, land warfare, cyberspace and artificial intelligence. According to this agreement, C-295 aircraft will be purchased in place of the old Avro-748. India had demanded 56 aircraft. Of these, 40 will be made in Vadodara.
