Today (January 7) is Irfan Khan's birthday. If Irfan were among us today, he would have been celebrating his 56th birthday. On this occasion, Irfan's son Babil talked about his father in an interview. He told that his father's death broke him and due to this, he locked himself in a room for 45 days.
Babil said in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, 'I could not believe it on the first day of Papa's death. After a week, when my heart and mind accepted that something like this had happened, it shook me and my condition after that was very bad. I locked myself in a room for 45 days.
Babil further said, 'Papa used to shoot a lot at that time and due to this he used to go on shooting for a long time. When he died, I somehow convinced myself that he would come back after the shooting schedule. But then I slowly started realizing that this is a never-ending shooting schedule.
Babil says, 'He will never come back now. I have lost my best friend. This moment has broken me so much that I cannot express it in words. But I remain positive about his memories.
Irfan married Sutapa Sikdar in 1995, whom he met while studying at the National School of Drama. The couple has two sons, named Babil and Ayaan. Apart from earning a name for his work in the Hindi film industry, Irrfan has also worked in Oscar-winning films such as 'Life of Pi', 'The Amazing Spider-Man', 'Inferno', etc.
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in 2018 and was undergoing treatment for almost 2 years. But died on April 29, 2020 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Talking about Babil Khan, made his acting debut in the year 2022 with the film Kala. Babil played the role of a promising singer in this film released on the OTT platform. Since the release of this film, Babil's acting is being praised a lot. At the same time, Babil will soon be seen in a web series 'The Railway Man'. Filmmaker Shiv Rawail is directing this series based on the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. In this, KK Menon, R Madhavan and Divyendu will be seen with Babil.
