Apple Launches 14-Inch MacBook Pro with M5 Chip, Up to 3.5x Faster AI Performance
Apple has launched its new 14-inch MacBook Pro (2025), featuring the new M5 chip. The company claims that this model offers 3.5x better AI performance and 1.6x better graphics performance than the M4 MacBook. It features a fast SSD, 24-hour battery life, a Liquid Retina XDR display, and a MagSafe 3 port.



On Wednesday, Apple updated its 14-inch MacBook Pro with the latest M5 chip. Apple claims that its new MacBook Pro model provides 3.5x improved AI performance and 1.6x improved graphics performance compared to the M4-based MacBook Pro, along with improved SSD performance. The new laptop is intended to provide up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. The MacBook Pro comes with a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a nano-texture finish. It has a 12-megapixel center stage camera, Touch ID, and a MagSafe 3 port.
The new MacBook Pro with the M5 chip begins at ₹169,900, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage. It will also be available in the 16GB+1TB and 24GB+1TB variants, priced at ₹189,900 and ₹209,900, respectively.
The new MacBook Pro is available for pre-booking in Silver and Space Black color options, and sales in India will begin on October 22nd. Students can avail a ₹10,000 discount from Apple's Education Store.
Apple has equipped its new MacBook Pro with the latest M5 chip, which includes a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, along with up to 32GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of SSD storage. The company allows users to configure additional variants from its online store. The laptop also features a 16-core Neural Engine for on-device AI tasks. Apple says the new MacBook Pro's SSD storage is twice as fast as the previous model.
