Hanumangarh News: The accused who stole five kg of silver in Hanumangarh Junction is in police custody. The thieves had committed the theft in the house of a jeweler who had gone to attend a wedding.

There was a huge theft at the residence of a jeweler in Hanumangarh Junction. The thief targeted the residence of jeweler Premkumar Soni when his niece was getting married. The accused was caught by the police and the stolen articles were recovered.

The team led by SP Arshad Ali was successful. The crime occurred on the 5th of March when Premkumar came to Agrasen Bhawan for his niece's wedding. The next day when Premkumar came back to his house, the gate of the house and the doors of the rooms were broken open. The thief entered the house by jumping over the fence. The thief carried a 32-inch LED TV, Rs. 4-5 thousand in cash, and about 5.5 kg silver rings with him. The police formed a special team led by Sub-Inspector Surendra Kumar under the supervision of Hanumangarh Junction City Thanadhikari Laxman Singh Rathore.

On the basis of CCTV footage and technical information, the team arrested the accused Molu alias Jitendra Kumar. The accused is a resident of ITI Basti. Police have recovered two silver rings weighing 5 kg 581 grams from the accused. Investigation has revealed that the accused has previously been involved in four cases of theft and burglary. He targets deserted houses at night. Police are investigating to recover other items. At present, the Junction Police Station is investigating the case by interrogating the arrested accused youth.
