Dengue sting is not taking its name. The situation is that while dengue cases have increased in hospitals, the number of deaths is also increasing every day. In the last seven days, 16 people have died of dengue in Jaipur. Apart from two deaths in SMS, one in JK Lone, the death of dengue patients admitted in private hospitals has scared the common man.
Dengue patients are coming in such large numbers by the end of November for the first time due to more rain than the previous years and even in the month of October. Still, up to 200 cases are coming in daily in private and government hospitals including SMS, JK Lone, Jaipuria, and Gangauri. However, fewer patients are being admitted due to the festival. About 90 people are admitted to hospitals and the condition of 22 people is said to be critical.
Anand Kumar of Swasthya Kalyan Bank explains that SDP and RDP are needed for platelets. The demand for these two has increased up to three times as compared to earlier. If this situation continues, the demand may increase further. It is possible that after Diwali their demand will increase even more. Patients with negative blood are facing some problems. In such a situation, it is necessary to have a donor.
Dengue has reached its peak in 15 days. Dr. Puneet Saxena and Dr. Praveen Mangalooniya, Senior Professors, at the Department of SMS Medicine, say that dengue is becoming dangerous due to multiple bites (people who first got sick due to mosquito bites and then got bitten). In the cases that are still coming, platelets are falling rapidly. Capillary leak syndrome is also occurring with dengue and in this, the lungs and abdomen get filled with water.
