Weather Turns Unstable in Rajasthan as Western Disturbance Brings Rain and Fog
Rajasthan Weather: The effects of the Western Disturbance continued in Rajasthan on Sunday. Kota and Chittorgarh remained cloudy, with rain and hailstorms occurring at some locations. Jaipur and Ajmer divisions experienced light clouds and fog. The Meteorological Department issued a thunderstorm, rain, and hailstorm alert for 12 districts on Monday. Fog prevailed in northern Rajasthan, while sunshine increased temperatures in western districts.
On Sunday (February 1), the effects of the Western Disturbance continued in Rajasthan. Clouds prevailed in many areas of Kota and Chittorgarh in the afternoon, and rain and hailstorms occurred at some locations. Light clouds and fog prevailed in Jaipur and Ajmer divisions, while the weather remained clear and sunshine increased temperatures in Jodhpur division.
The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, issued a thunderstorm, rain, and hailstorm alert for 12 districts on Monday. Over the past 24 hours, Kota, Baran, and Jhalawar remained cloudy, with drizzle in Baran and Kotputli. Sunlight remained weak throughout the day in Bharatpur, Dausa, Jaipur, and Alwar.
Fog enveloped the Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, and Bikaner districts of northern Rajasthan until Sunday afternoon. Visibility dropped to 10 meters in Lunkaransar, Bikaner, in the morning. In western Rajasthan, the weather remained dry, and temperatures rose due to sunshine. The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded in Barmer at 29.4 degrees Celsius.
