Weather Change Ahead: Western Disturbance to Bring Showers, Drop in Temperature
Rajasthan Weather: A Western Disturbance is active in Rajasthan, with a yellow alert issued for 11 districts. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and Kota on November 3-4. Dry weather will prevail in most areas from November 5, with night temperatures likely to drop.
For the second time in ten days, an active Western Disturbance has reached Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has given a yellow alert for rain in 11 districts on Monday. It is expected that the system will become effective from Tuesday, November 4. The weather remained dry in most parts of the state during the last 24 hours. Day and night temperature showed fluctuations but the sun shone brightly throughout the day in Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Bhilwara. Jaisalmer was the hottest city, which recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degree Celsius. Maximum temperature recorded during daytime in Barmer was 35.5°C, Bikaner 35.2°C, Jodhpur 34.5°C, Nagaur 33.3°C, Ajmer 31.8°C, and Jaipur 31°C. Light humidity was also experienced in many cities during daytime, but the clear sky at night increased the chill. Minimum temperatures dropped by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. Nagaur was the coldest city, with the night temperature dropping to 12.5 degrees. Sikar, Fatehpur, Jalore, and Sirohi also recorded temperatures between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that light rain is likely in the northern and eastern parts of the state for the next two days, while night temperatures may drop further.
Meteorological Department Director Radheshyam Sharma says, "With a new western disturbance becoming active on November 3rd, light to moderate rain with thundershowers is once again expected in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and some parts of Kota divisions on November 3rd and 4th. Partly cloudy skies are also expected in areas of Bikaner division during this period. Dry weather is expected in most parts of the state for the next week, starting November 5th. Due to the influence of northerly winds, there is a strong possibility of a drop in minimum temperatures by 2-4 degrees." Ajmer 31.0 and 14.7, Bhilwara 31.4 and 19.8, Jaipur 31 and 19.7, Alwar 31.5 and 17.2, Kota 31.1 and 26.6, Sikar 30 and 14, Pilani 33.1 and 16.2, Chittorgarh 31.4 and 20.0, Dabok 28.4 and 22.6, Barmer 35.5 and 19.8, Jaisalmer 36.1 and 19.7, Jodhpur 34.5 and 16.2, Phalodi 34.8 and 22.4, Bikaner 35.2 and 18.5, Churu 34.1 and 15.4, Sriganganagar 34.4 and 17.1, Nagaur 33.3 and 12.5, Fatehpur 32.1 and Temperature was recorded at 12.9, Jhunjhunu at 32.1 and 15.6.
