It is said that Atlee was in talks with him during the release of Vikram for this role and then the actor increased the demand from 15 crores to 21 crores keeping in mind the stupendous success achieved by Vikram.

Vijay Sethupathi left two projects

Because his character in Jawan is so explosive that he did not want to leave it.
