US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is currently on a visit to China. This visit of Blinken is considered very important for the relations between America and China and for their improvement. During the visit, Blinken also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping today and discussed improving US-China relations.
Blinken is the first high-level US official to visit China since US President Joe Biden took office. He is the first US Secretary of State to visit Beijing in five years.
Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to visit Blinken soon at a meeting in Bali last year. It was supposed to take place in February but got delayed after the Chinese spy balloons in the skies of America came to the fore.
