After the century innings of Sachin and Uday, thanks to the brilliant bowling of four wickets by Soumi Pandey, India defeated Nepal by 132 runs in the Super Six match of Group 1 of the Under-19 World Cup on Friday. Chasing the target of 298 runs, Nepal's opening pair of Deepak Bohra and Arjun Kumal made a partnership of 48 runs for the first wicket. Deepak was out after scoring 22 runs and Arjun was out after scoring 26 runs. Captain Dev Khanal was out after scoring 33 runs, after which Akash Chand 18 runs, and Durgesh Gupta 29 runs tried to reduce the margin of defeat. None of the remaining batsmen could reach double digits and the entire team could score only 165 runs for nine wickets.

Soumi Pandey took four wickets for India. Arshin Kulkarni got two wickets. Raj Limbani, Aaradhya Shukla and Murugan Abhishek dismissed one batsman each. Earlier, thanks to the century innings of Sachin and Uday, India gave Nepal a target of 298 runs to win. India won the toss here and decided to bat first. The Indian team, who came to bat first, did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Adarsh Singh for 21 runs in the fifth over. After this, Priyanshu Moliya, who came to bat, also got run out after scoring 19 runs. Arshin Kulkarni returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs in the 14th over.

Captain Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas took over the team by making a partnership of more than 200 runs for the fourth wicket. Uday scored 100 runs in 107 balls with the help of nine fours. Sachin played an inning of 116 runs in 101 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes. Musheer Khan made nine not out. The Indian team scored 297 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

This is India's second match in the Super Six. Earlier, India had defeated New Zealand by a huge margin of 214 runs in the first match. The Indian team has won all its matches so far in the tournament. Gulshan Jha got three wickets for Nepal. Akash Chand dismissed one batsman.
