The CEO of Vistara, Vinod Kannan, informed the staff on Thursday that the airline's operations have stabilised and that the "worst is now behind" after recent flight disruptions.

The airline operated by the Tata Group was forced to temporarily reduce capacity by 10%, or 25–30 flights per day, due to issues with pilots. Kannan said that it has been difficult to start the new fiscal year. From March 31 to April 2, the airline experienced severe operational disruptions.

Admitting that things should have been planned better, Kannan said there was a lot to learn from it. "The concern and frustration felt by our customers is equal to the pain we felt hearing the negative commentary our much-loved brand is receiving in various quarters... I assure you that the worst situation is now behind us and our operations have stabilized with our On-Time Performance (OTP) increasing to 89 per cent as of April 9, 2024...''

The airline has 70 aircraft in its fleet. It is scheduled to operate more than 300 flights every day in the current summer schedule.
