Tata's electric cars are flying in the country, more than 1 lakh EVs sold in a few years

Tata Motors dominates the electric market. Tata Motors has achieved a new milestone by selling over 1 lakh EVs. The company is ready to launch more than one EV in the coming years. Currently, Tata Motors sells the most cars.

To mark the occasion, Tata Motors organized a drone show, showcasing its journey from the first 10,000 EVs to 1,00,000 units sold in the last 3 years. Tata claims that they have sold the last 50,000 EVs in just 9 months.

Tata Motors is planning to further expand its EV portfolio. It plans to launch four 'new' Tata electric SUVs by 2024. These include the Nexon EV facelift, Punch EV, Harrier EV, and Curve EV.

According to the company, Tata EV has covered a distance of 1.4 billion kilometers. This is equal to three orbits of the Sun. Customers have collectively saved 2,19,432 tonnes of CO2 emissions and Rs 7 billion on fuel costs over the course of their EV ownership.

Experts say that the company can launch the updated models of Harrier and Safari early next year. Both the facelifts could get a completely new front fascia with the familiar split headlamp design. The styling of the new SUVs will be inspired by the Harrier EV concept, which was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.
