MG Price Hike: MG Hector Plus SUV becomes expensive, know about the new price

MG Motor India has increased the prices of its Hector range in India. If you too were planning to buy the new Hector Plus, then know here is the revised price list. Hector Plus prices have seen an increase of up to Rs.61,000.

The Hector Plus is sold in the Indian market in Smart, Smart EX, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro variants with six and seven-seater configuration options. The diesel variants of MG Hector Plus Smart Pro and Sharp Pro have seen a price difference of up to Rs 59,000 and Rs 61,000 respectively. As said, the company has increased the price of all other variants under the guise of petrol and diesel by a uniform amount of Rs 30,000. Currently, the price of this SUV starts from Rs. 18 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 23.78 lakhs (ex-showroom).

In terms of features, the MG Hector Plus gets captain seats, smoked sepia brown leather upholstery, and leather pads on the dashboard. Talking about the interior, it has a 10.4-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with i-Smart technology, and offers 55 connected features.

Talking about other features, it has 8 ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel infinity sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a power driver seat. Talking about the safety features, this SUV has 6 airbags, an anti-lock braking system, EBD, a 360-degree camera, and other features.

The Hector Plus is equipped with two BS6 2.0-updated powertrain options - a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 141bhp and 250Nm of peak torque, while the latter generates 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. The petrol motor is mated to a six-speed manual and a CVT unit. On the other hand, the oil burner is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only.
