Sandeep Choudhary’s Green Mission Sets Guinness Record
From rural roots to a global green icon, Sandeep Choudhary leads a 3,000 crore tree campaign across India.

Born in the humble village of Guda Godji in Rajasthan, Sandeep Choudhary's inspiring journey from financial hardship to becoming a global environmental icon is nothing short of remarkable. Raised in a modest farmer family, he now spearheads a global tree-planting initiative aiming to transform the planet.
Back in 2007, Sandeep was running a small digital startup from a compact office in Jaipur’s City Center, relying on PayPal for international client payments. Disaster struck when PayPal unexpectedly blocked a large payment, collapsing his venture overnight and forcing him to vacate his office.
By 2008, circumstances worsened. He was forced to shift into a modest rented room in Civil Lines, burdened by growing familial pressure. “If you can’t support the household, return to the village, learn tailoring, and stop chasing dreams,” his father advised.
In those dark days, a small check from Google AdSense arrived — not a large amount, but enough to reignite hope. “PayPal dropped me, Google picked me up,” Sandeep recalls.
That turning point led to the birth of his life's mission — environmental restoration. Moved by the urgency of climate change, he founded the Save Earth Mission, and today serves as its India Chapter President. His team recently achieved a Guinness World Record by planting over 500,000 trees in just one hour.
His campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother's Name), inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, aims to plant 3,000 crore trees across India. The belief behind it is deeply emotional — every citizen should honor their mother by planting a tree, contributing to a cleaner, greener future for the next generation.
Now, Sandeep is not just a national but a global figure in environmental activism. From being invited to speak at TEDx, Forbes, Reuters, and Business Insider events to becoming a beacon of hope for millions, his mission is gaining worldwide recognition.
He remarks with conviction:
“Elon Musk dreams of reaching Mars.
I dream of healing Earth.”
As the world grapples with global warming and ecological crises, individuals like Sandeep Choudhary are the torchbearers of hope and action. Through his green revolution, he is not only saving nature but also scripting a new future for India.
