Saints of Ayodhya raised demand for ban of 'Adipurush', said- 'Bollywood is ruining Hinduism'
Ayodhya Saints Demands Adipurush Ban: Prabhas Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan's film Adipurush is on constant target of trollers. Now many saints of Ayodhya have also raised objections and raised the demand of banning the film.
Om Raut's film Adipurush is being trolled continuously. For the last several months, people were eagerly waiting for the film. However, after its release, the film shattered the expectations of the audience. At the same time, now the saints of Ayodhya have raised the demand for the ban of the film.
The sages of Ayodhya claimed that the characters of Ramayana were wrongly shown in Adipurush. Acharya Satyendra Das, the head priest of Ram Janmabhoomi, said that despite protesting earlier, the filmmakers have misrepresented the characters of Ramayana and shown Hindu gods and goddesses in a 'distorted' manner, reported news agency IANS.
He said, "The dialogues are shameful and Adipurush should be banned immediately. Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman, as well as Ravana, have been presented in a completely different way. It shows our Gods in a completely different way, What we have read and known so far.
Raju Das, the priest of the Hanuman Garhi temple, also demanded a ban on the film. He said, "Bollywood is bent on destroying Hinduism. The film Adipurush is the perfect example that Hindu sentiments matter the least to them." Apart from these, Mani Ram Das Chawni Peeth, the most powerful organization of saints of Ayodhya, has also supported the demand to ban Adipurush.
Adipurush was trolled a lot even after the teaser release in October last year. The sages of Ayodhya had accused the makers of maligning the image of Hindu gods and goddesses and tampering with the religious text Ramayana. The saints had said that Hanuman was shown without the mustache, or beard in the film, and no Hindu would do that.
