RCB got 20 crores for winning the IPL trophy, then how did it earn more than 600 crores

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has ended the title drought of 18 years by defeating Punjab Kings in the final of IPL 2025. Thus, Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first-ever IPL trophy with Rajat Patidar as captain. With the trophy win of the IPL of 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore received prize money of Rs 20 crore. But you would be surprised to know that it has generated bumper revenues in the fiscal year of 2024 (FY 2024). 

RCB has earned 653 crores in total in the financial year of 2024. Out of these, RCB has earned only Rs 420 crore from broadcasting, while it has earned Rs 120 crore from sponsorship and advertising. The franchise has also raised a good amount by selling tickets. The franchise has earned around Rs 60 crore by selling tickets. Apart from this, the franchise has earned Rs 30 crore from merchandise, Rs 10 crore from digital and social media. Now, if the amount of Rs 20 crore received for becoming the IPL 2025 champion is also added to this, then overall, Royal Challengers Bangalore has earned around Rs 653 crore.

On the other hand, if we look at the financial years 2022 and 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore earned around Rs 292 crore and Rs 235 crore, respectively. According to media reports, the total net worth of Royal Challengers Bangalore is Rs 1012 crore. In this list, Chennai Super Kings is at number one with Rs 1059 crore, and Mumbai Indians is at number two with Rs 1029 crore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the final for the fourth time in IPL 2025 and captured the IPL title. Although before that she had reached the final three times, she had to face disappointment. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final of IPL 2025 and captured the trophy.
