IPL 2026 Playoffs Force Australia to Rest Cummins, Hazlewood, Head for Pakistan Tour
Australia squad announced for Pakistan tour: Half a dozen Australian star players, including Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Travis Head, have left the Pakistan tour for IPL 2026. Cricket Australia confirmed this by announcing the teams for the Pakistan and Bangladesh tours.

Cricket Australia has announced the squads for the upcoming tours of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Cooper Connolly, Xavier Bartlett, and Travis Head will not be participating in the ODI series against Pakistan that commences from May 30. They will not be traveling to Pakistan since they will remain in India to participate in the IPL 2026. It is anticipated that Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Cooper Connolly, Xavier Bartlett, and Travis Head will play crucial roles during the IPL playoff matches since it appears that Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore will secure a top-four spot.
Mitchell Starc plays for Delhi Capitals and might make it to the playoffs. However, Mitchell Starc will be replaced by Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Green, and Josh Inglis in the Australia team for the Pakistan series. Marsh and Inglis currently play for the Lucknow Super Giants, while Green represents the Kolkata Knight Riders.
