Yesterday (February 6) was the first death anniversary of Swara Kokila Lata Mangeshkar. On this occasion, many people from the industry came together to remember him. On the death anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar, the Bhoomi Pujan of Lata Mangeshkar's memorial was done at Haji Ali Chowk in Mumbai. Lata Mangeshkar's sister Usha Mangeshkar, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, a cabinet minister in the Maharashtra government and many celebs from the industry were present in this Bhoomi Pujan. BMC is going to make a 40 feet statue of Lata Mangeshkar, whose work will be completed in 3 months. For this, BMC has kept a budget of Rs 50 lakh.

Lata Didi died due to Corona. His report came positive on 8 January 2022, after which he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Didi's health started improving about five days before her death, but suddenly her health deteriorated and she died on 6 February.
