Rajpal Yadav's Remarkable Transformation for 'APURVA' Thriller on Disney+ Hotstar

Rajpal Yadav, the renowned actor of the silver screen, has been making waves lately, receiving widespread praise for his incredible transformation in the trailer of the highly-anticipated survival thriller "APURVA." This gripping film is set to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 15th. In this film, Yadav is taking on a negative role, a departure from his usual comedic performances, and he's given us a glimpse into how he prepared for this challenging character, including an interesting directive: "No smiling allowed!"

The actor shares that he was taken by surprise when he first received a call to play a menacing character in "Apurva." He recounts, "When Nikhil sir contacted me for the first time, I assumed it was another comic role. I even questioned our director to confirm if he really wanted me for a negative character. His response was a simple 'Yes, just don't smile.'"

He goes on to express, "The genre of a film doesn't matter as long as the role is well-written. Bollywood has provided me the confidence to create opportunities for myself, allowing me to explore new avenues when I'm not satisfied with the work I'm doing. I believe it's my duty as an actor to keep experimenting with different roles."
