Monsoon activities are going on in Rajasthan. As per the alert issued by the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in several districts of southeastern and eastern Rajasthan during Wednesday (7th July). There are possibilities of occurrence of heavy rains, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of speed 40-50 kmph in Kota, Baran, and Jhalawar districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon activities would be highest in southeastern Rajasthan during 8th and 9th July. Thereafter, the activities of heavy rains will slowly reduce from 10th July onwards. However, light to moderate rain may continue in most parts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds is likely in Ajmer, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Salumber, Udaipur, Alwar, Beawar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, and Tonk in eastern Rajasthan on Wednesday.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also forecast in Bikaner, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali, Phalodi, and Sriganganagar in western Rajasthan.

Partly to moderately cloudy skies are expected throughout the day in the capital, Jaipur, on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph, is expected in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next three days. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.
