Rajasthan Sandstorm Alert Today: Orange Warning in 7 Western Districts, Winds Up to 70 km/h

Today may witness another sandstorm in Western Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, the western region of Rajasthan is highly active today. The pre-monsoon season is currently at its peak in Rajasthan. The weather experts have forecasted thunderstorms, rainfall, and further thunderstorms in several regions of the state over the next few days. Weather conditions are likely to remain highly variable in both the eastern and western parts of the state due to a western disturbance and an active trough.

A forecast of thunderstorms and rains has been issued by the Meteorological Department for most parts of the state on today's date. A yellow warning has been issued for 22 districts in eastern Rajasthan, and an orange warning for seven districts in Western Rajasthan.

According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Pali, and Phalodi are expected to experience strong winds with speeds of up to 60 to 70 km/h today, along with possible rain and thunderstorms.

Weather experts say that an active weather trough from Punjab to Bihar, a western disturbance, and a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan are continuously bringing moisture to the state. Consequently, rain and thunderstorm activity are expected to persist for the next three to five days.
