Vishvas News, which is Jagran New Media's fact-checking team was in Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan for its prestigious media literacy program 'Sach Ke Saathi'. Journalists were given fact-checking training in two prestigious newsrooms in the city on Friday.

Journalists of Samachar Jagat and Mahanagar Times newspaper published from Jaipur participated enthusiastically in this media literacy program. In the program, journalists were told in detail about topics like media literacy, why fact-checking is important, and how to avoid financial fraud.

The program was addressed by Jagran New Media's Associate Editor Ashish Maharshi and Deputy Editor Devika Mehta. Many journalists including Tarun Rawal of Samachar Jagah, and Manish Godha of Mahanagar Times participated in the program.

Starting the training in both the newsrooms, Ashish Maharshi told in detail about Vishvas News's leading media literacy program 'Sach Ke Saathi'. He said that Vishvas News' media literacy program aims to reach every section of society and save them from fake posts going viral on social media. Today, everyone is spending a lot of time on smartphones. In such a situation, they can be easily targeted through fake posts or fraudulent links.
