PM said - there is no military solution to Russia and Ukraine war, nuclear bases should be safe

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, on Tuesday evening. This conversation becomes very important because last month Russian President Vladimir Putin twice pointed to the use of nuclear weapons, but only in gestures. Modi again made it clear in a conversation with Zelensky that the dispute between Russia and Ukraine cannot be resolved by war. He also focused on the fact that there is no military solution to the issue.
Modi mentioned nuclear facilities in a conversation with Zelensky. This assumes significance as the security of an atomic base in Zaporizhia, Ukraine is constantly being questioned. Modi said that if nuclear targets are targeted or any other related incident of this kind, its consequences can prove to be extremely dangerous for the entire humanity.
During the conversation, Modi clearly said that if this issue is to be resolved, then diplomacy will have to be implemented first. Both sides will have to give up stubbornness and move towards talks. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) gave this information after talks.
Modi and Zelensky have held talks before. Modi has also spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin several times over the phone in the past. Recently, during the SEO meeting, Modi told Putin – this is not a period of war, but of walking together and talking. The heads of state of many countries, including US President Joe Biden, had mentioned and supported Modi's point during the UNGA meeting.
In a conversation with Zelensky, Modi stressed that both Russia and Ukraine should take decisions according to the UN Charter, International Law. India wants that nuclear bases should be monitored and there should be no lapse in their security.
