Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assets worth more than Rs 2.23 crore. Most of the assets are in the form of bank deposits. The PM does not have any immovable property now, as he has donated his land in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The cost of this land was Rs 1.1 crore.
This information has come to the fore after the declaration of the PM's assets on the website of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). According to the information, till March 31, 2022, his total assets were Rs 2 crore 23 lakh 82 thousand 504. At the same time, Modi's movable assets have increased by Rs 26.13 lakh as compared to last year.

The Prime Minister has not invested in any bonds, shares or mutual funds, he does not even own a vehicle. PM has 4 gold rings, which cost Rs 1.73 lakh. As of March 31, 2021, the Prime Minister had immovable assets worth Rs 1.1 crore.

The portion of the land that Modi donated was bought in October 2002 when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. 3 more people also had ownership rights on this land. In this, the PM had a fourth (25%) stake, which he donated.

According to the information till 31 March 2022, the Prime Minister had total cash of Rs 35,250. At the same time, National Savings Certificate worth Rs 9 lakh 5 thousand 105 is deposited in his name in the post office. Modi also has life insurance of Rs 1 lakh 89 thousand 305.
In the last financial year, all 29 cabinet ministers had declared assets of themselves and their dependents.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has movable assets worth Rs 2.54 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 2.97 crore. Dharmendra Pradhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, RK Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Purushottam Rupala and G Kishan Reddy are also among those who declared assets this time. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has also declared his assets. Naqvi had resigned as the minister in July. At present, there are 28 cabinet ministers at the Centre.
