Amadia Enterprises, being a partnership concern of Parth Pawar, who is the son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has made significant progress in connection with the Mundhwa land transaction. The company has filed a civil case against Sheetal Tejwani, who is the power of Attorney holder of the piece of land, with an appeal to cancel the sale deed.

The case is filed by the firm’s partner, Digvijay Patil, through a petition under Section 31 of the Specific Relief Act, 1963. According to the case documents, the next hearing will take place on January 15, 2026.

Recently, the transaction involving the transfer of 40 acres of land in Pune's upscale area of Mundhwa to Amadia Enterprises for Rs 300 crores (approximately $2.5 billion) raised some concerns. An investigation revealed that the land was government property and could not be sold. It is alleged that the firm was exempted from stamp duty of approximately ₹21 crore (approximately $2.5 billion) in the deal.

According to the allegations, Sheetal Tejwani, a power of attorney holder for 272 "original watandars," executed the sale deed despite knowing that the land was government property. Ravindra Taru, the then sub-registrar, is also accused of playing a role in the deal.

In this case, officials from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) have filed an FIR against Digvijay Patil, Sheetal Tejwani, and Ravindra Taru for stamp duty evasion. However, Parth Pawar, the majority partner of Amadia Enterprises, is not named in the FIR.

In a related case, the district administration has also filed a case against Patil, Tejwani, and suspended tehsildar Suryakant Yeole. The FIR was lodged at the Khadak police station and is being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing of the Pune Police.

The EOW arrested Sheetal Tejwani last month and is currently in the custody of the Bavdhan police. Ravindra Taru has also been arrested by the Bavdhan police. Tehsildar Suryakant Yeole is accused of issuing a notice to the Botanical Survey of India to vacate the land, stating that the land had been sold to Amadia Enterprises. A Pune court rejected Yeole's anticipatory bail plea on Monday.
