Now AI is paid for smartphones, named as AI Subscription Club
AI: Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee has announced that this subscription plan will apply to both Galaxy smartphones and the recently launched Ballie AI robot.
Samsung has confirmed that it is going to launch a paid AI service subscription for its Galaxy smartphones soon. The service has been named AI Subscription Club, which will be available to users from next month. This service will provide access to Samsung's AI technology through a monthly fee. Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee has announced that this subscription plan will apply to both Galaxy smartphones and the recently launched Ballie AI robot.
In December 2024, Samsung launched an AI Subscription Club for certain home appliances in South Korea. Now this paid service will also be extended to other Samsung gadgets such as Galaxy smartphones and Ballie robots. The users can avail the AI-powered products including smartphones, TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines under this subscription model by paying a monthly fee. Along with that, the service will also give repair and maintenance options.
While this subscription service will provide some added features, Samsung has made it very clear that this service is in no way required to make full use of the core AI features on Galaxy smartphones and other devices. Those can be used free of charge until the end of 2025, anyway, with no confirmation on the plan beyond that.
