Niger army targeted near Burkina Faso border, 17 soldiers killed
An ambush in the southwest region bordering Burkina Faso killed 17 Niger army soldiers on Tuesday. The Defense Ministry said in a statement that a unit of the Niger Army was ambushed near the commune of Torodi. During this, more than 100 terrorists were killed.

Immediately following the ambush on the Niger Army, troops engaged the terrorists using air and ground tactics. The soldiers at the clash site gave a befitting reply to the enemies, but 17 soldiers were also killed.
