NIA clamps down on PFI, raids on many places including Delhi, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday (October 11) raided locations associated with the Popular Front of India (PFI). The agency has taken this action against PFI at its locations across the country. Raids are going on in places like Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, UP, Rajasthan, Madurai etc. PFI was banned last year under the Anti-Terrorist Unlawful Activities Act (UAPA).

PFI was banned last year under the Anti-Terrorist Unlawful Activities Act (UAPA).
NIA raids are going on in the Ballimaran area of Delhi in connection with the banned organization Popular Front of India.
According to NIA sources, the raid has been conducted in the agency's case number 31/2022, which pertains to the involvement of PFI and its leaders and cadres in violent and illegal activities. All the accused had gathered in the Phulwarisharif area of Patna for the purpose of violent and illegal activities.
