India's Major Radhika Sen will be honored with UN Military Award, Guterres said - true and ideal leader

A military award will be given to Major Radhika Sen, an Indian woman peacekeeper who participated in the UN mission in Congo. Antonio Guterres, the secretary-general of the United Nations, praised him and called him a real and ideal leader. On May 30, International United Nations Peacekeeping Day, Major Radhika Sen will receive the 2023 United Nations Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award. This award is being given to him in honor of UN Secretary-General Guterres.
From March 2023 to April 2024, Major Sen commanded the Indian Rapid Deployment Battalion in the eastern region of the Republic of Congo. Her home state is Himachal Pradesh. She enlisted in the Indian Army eight years ago, having been born in 1993. Major Radhika Sen graduated as a Biotech Engineer, and only after that did she decide to join the Indian Army.
