The junk that got collected under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in October has been sold out by the central government making an income of more than Rs 650 crore. In addition to this, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the ex-partner in this matter. PM Modi further said that unprecedented success has been achieved by focusing on effective management and prompt action.

The campaign generated a total income of Rs 2364 crore from the sale of junk in the last four years. The Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh termed Special Campaign 4.0 as the largest campaign ever undertaken to institutionalize cleanliness and reduce pending cases in government offices. Special Campaign 4.0 aimed at saturation approach to reduce cleanliness and pending cases. Swachhata Abhiyan has been done at more than 5.97 lakh sites, and because of this, 190 lakh square feet of space have been freed up for effective office use.
