Veteran batsman Javed Miandad of Pakistan has expressed his displeasure with the way cricket is managed in his country, claiming that players' confidence has been undermined by frequent appointments and changes within the national team.

Miandad told the media during a function organized to launch the Sindh Premier League here - I have not seen cricket administration anywhere in the world like we see in Pakistan and this situation is very sad.

This former captain, who led Pakistan to victory in 124 Test matches, claimed that the players and the team have suffered as a result of the cricket administration in recent times. According to Miandad, appointments and changes aren't made in cricket nearly as frequently as they are elsewhere. It simply indicates that our cricket structure is discontinuous. What's more, the players don't gain confidence.

In Pakistan cricket, there is another round of appointments following the ODI World Cup. Following Babar Azam's removal from all-format captaincy, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shan Masood were named captains of the T20 International and Test teams, respectively. Following the World Cup in India, Mohammad Hafeez was also named Director of Cricket.
