Legendary footballer Pele passed away: breathed his last at the hospital in Sao Paulo at the age of 82, suffering from stomach cancer

Legendary Brazilian footballer Pele passed away on Thursday at the age of 82. His daughter Kelly Nascimento informed him about his death on social media. Pele was battling stomach cancer. He was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo on 29 November.
He was treated through chemotherapy. But, they were not getting any benefit. After this chemotherapy was stopped and he was given medicines to reduce pain. He also had kidney and cardiac dysfunction.
Pele's daughter Kelly wrote on Instagram, 'Whatever we are, it is because of you. we love you a lot. Rest in Peace. On 25 December the family celebrated Christmas with Pele in the hospital.
Pele was admitted to the hospital for a routine checkup, but gradually his condition started deteriorating and the hospital declared him brought dead. Pele had cancer and heart problems. Chemotherapy was also not affecting him in the treatment of cancer. Due to this the doctor also expressed concern. His colon tumour was removed in September 2021. After which he was given chemotherapy.
Pele had been admitted to the hospital several times before for checkups. Recently, at the beginning of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Pele posted a photo on his Instagram handle. He thanked the fans for supporting him.
Pele's real name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Nick's names are also Dico, Pele and The Black Pearl. Pele was born on 23 October 1940 in Brazil. He has three wives. But there have been disputes about how many children there are. Pele himself has said in an interview that he does not even remember how many children he has. However, the names of 7 children of Pele appear in official records.
His first marriage took place in 1966 and got divorced in 1982. The name of the first wife was Rose Marie Dos Reis. He had three children.
