Layoffs in India's leading IT company: Infosys sacked 600 employees who failed FA test

After big tech companies like Google, Amazon and Microsoft, now India's IT giant Infosys has also laid off. According to reports, Infosys has dropped hundreds of fresher employees after they failed to clear the internal fresher assessment (FA) test.
A fresher who joined the company in August 2022 told Business Today, 'I started working at Infosys in August last year and was trained for the SAP ABAP stream. Out of 150 people in my team, only 60 passed the FA exam, the rest of us were terminated 2 weeks back. Out of 150 freshers from the last batch (freshers onboarded in July 2022), around 85 freshers were terminated after failing the test.
Sources claim that Infosys has fired 600 employees for failing internal tests. Two weeks ago, 208 freshers were fired after failing the FA test. In the last few months, a total of around 600 freshers have been terminated after failing the FA test. However, so far no statement has come from the company on this news.
Fired employees claim that new people joining the company before July 2022 have not been terminated after failing internal tests. At the same time, a representative of the company says that employees have always been terminated after failing the internal test.
This development comes against the backdrop of hundreds of freshers waiting to join the company for more than 8 months after receiving offer letters. Let us tell you that 2 weeks ago there was news that Wipro has removed 800 freshers who failed the internal test. However, the company says that it has terminated 452 employees.
