Last rites of former Minister and ex-Congress leader Dr. Girija Vyas will be done in the afternoon in Udaipur
Udaipur News: The body of senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Dr. Girija Vyas reached Udaipur late last night. His last rites will be performed this afternoon.



The body of former Minister and ex-Congress leader Dr. Girija Vyas was brought late in the night to Udaipur following his demise. The last darshan has been arranged between 10 am to 12 noon on Friday at his Udaipur residence in Daitya Magri. The last rites will be conducted in Udaipur at 4 pm.
One must note that Dr. Vyas passed away on Thursday evening in Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad at the age of 81. His health was in critical condition following burns sustained in fire on March 31 in connection with Gangaur Puja and he succumbed at 7:15 pm last night.
Top Congress leaders arrived in Udaipur on Friday morning to take part in the last darshan of Dr. Vyas. State President Govind Singh Dotasara on behalf of the State Congress Committee and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie will arrive at his Daitya Magri residence at 12 in the afternoon and pay their homage by giving Congress flag and wreath on the last remains.
