Bad news has come from the Malayalam film industry. Mollywood's popular actor and television personality Kollam Sudhi passed away on June 5.
According to news agency PTI, 39-year-old Kollam Sudhi died in a road accident in the early hours of Monday. He was accompanied by three other actors, who are badly injured and are undergoing treatment.
Giving information about the accident, the police said, "Ullas Aroor, Binu Adimali, and Mahesh were traveling in the car along with Kollam Sudhi. Their car collided with a truck at 4.30 am on Monday. It was a head-on collision. Rushed to the hospital, but Sudhi died. The other three are undergoing treatment."
According to media reports, the accident took place in Kapamangalam, Kerala. According to the information, the four artists were returning home after attending a show. Meanwhile, his car became a victim of a dangerous road accident. Sudhi suffered a serious head injury in the accident. He was immediately taken to a private hospital after the incident, but he succumbed to his injuries. Whereas, the remaining three people are being treated at a private hospital in Kodungallur.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condoled the death of Kollam Sudhi. Kollam was known for his comic roles in the Sudhi television show. He also worked in some films.
Kollam Sudhi made her film debut in 2015 with director Ajmal's Kanthari. He was a popular mimicry artist. He got recognition through stage shows and comedy shows on television channels. Sudhi acted in several films including 'Kattapanayile Ritwik Roshan', 'Kuttanadan Marappappa', 'Kesu E Vedinthe Nadhan', 'Escape' and 'Swargathile Katturumbu Kollam'.
