Just before India tour, ban on 3 Afghan players including Naveen Ul Haq lifted, will be able to play IPL

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has lifted the sanctions imposed earlier on three players Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Fazal Haq Farooqui and Naveen Ul Haq, as now these players have taken a soft stance and expressed their desire to accept the central contract. The ACB said it decided to issue a final warning to the players and deduct their salaries after a thorough investigation. The board said in a statement on Monday that the revised restrictions will now allow these players to receive central contracts and participate in the franchise league while ensuring their full commitment to national duties and the interests of the ACB.

The ACB launched an investigation after the players made unconditional contact and expressed their desire to represent the country again. The ACB said that after evaluating the initial stance of the players given recent developments and acknowledging the importance of their remaining in the national team, the Appointments Committee has conveyed its final recommendations to the board.

The ACB statement said each player will receive a final written warning and will face a specific salary deduction from monthly earnings or match fees. The ACB will strictly consider issuing limited NOCs to respected players, prioritising the national duty and interests of the ACB.
